We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Human Resources Coordinator to join our dynamic HR team. This role is essential in supporting our organization's human capital management strategies, ensuring compliance with employment and labor laws, and fostering a positive employee experience. The Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes mainly at our Watertown location. This role will assist the Human Resource Manager with routine and specialized administrative tasks including but not limited to reviewing job applications from prospective employees, managing and overseeing records, generating reports and other administrative support as needed.
Duties
Assists Human Resource Manager by performing the following tasks:
Answering employee requests and questions.
Maintaining employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details.
Maintaining accurate records of active job openings and received applications; manages internal and external job postings.
Reviewing applications for entry-level and non-exempt positions; Schedules preliminary interviews with appropriate participants.
Performing administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include layoffs, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence.
Performing routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to payroll, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Planning and supporting company-wide information meetings such as open enrollment, new hire orientation, and meetings to announce or discuss changes in retirement or benefits plans.
May Conduct or assists with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, payroll audits, and other compliance reviews.
Scheduling meetings and interviews as requested by Human Resource Manager.
Making photocopies; mailing, scanning and emailing documents; and performing other clerical functions.
Assisting or preparing correspondence as requested.
Processing mail.
Performing other duties as assigned by Human Resource Manager.
Requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
Three years of office experience preferred, with at least one year in human resources required.
SHRM Certification a plus
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
