Job Description

The

HR Coordinator

at Crossway Home Care LLC plays a critical role in supporting the company's mission to deliver dependable and compassionate care to patients across Massachusetts. This position is responsible for

recruiting, onboarding, and supporting direct care employees

-- including

Home Health Aides (HHAs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Personal Care Assistants (PCAs), Homemakers, Companions, and Heavy Chore Workers and office personnel.



The HR Coordinator ensures all staff meet regulatory, credentialing, and quality standards set forth by the

Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH)

,

Medicaid/Medicare

, and

CHAP Accreditation

requirements.

Key Responsibilities: Recruitment and Staffing



Actively recruit HHAs, CNAs, PCAs, Homemakers, Companions, and Heavy Chore Workers through job postings, career fairs, community partnerships, and social media. Conduct phone screenings, interviews, and reference checks to assess candidate suitability. Maintain an active pipeline of qualified candidates to meet agency staffing demands. Coordinate with the scheduling team and nursing supervisors to identify staffing needs and open cases.

Onboarding and Credentialing



Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure completion of all onboarding paperwork (I-9, CORI background check, W-4, health forms, etc.). Verify professional licenses, HHA certificates, CPR/BLS, TB results, and other mandatory documentation. Input and maintain employee records in HRIS and personnel files per state and federal requirements. Communicate orientation schedules and coordinate with the Training Department for staff development sessions.

Employee Relations and Support



Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures. Support the supervision and evaluation process of field staff by coordinating performance reviews and follow-ups with nursing supervisors. Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive work culture that aligns with Crossway's mission and values.

Compliance and Documentation



Ensure compliance with Massachusetts labor laws, DPH, and agency policies for all employee records and files. Monitor expiration dates for certifications, driver's licenses, and health screenings; send timely renewal reminders. Support audits and CHAP reviews by maintaining accurate, up-to-date HR documentation. Assist in implementing and tracking mandatory trainings (Infection Control, OSHA, Patient Rights, Abuse Reporting, etc.).

Administrative and Communication Duties



Prepare offer letters, employment verifications, and internal communications. Maintain confidentiality and security of all personnel and patient-related information. Collaborate with the Operations, Nursing, and Scheduling teams to ensure smooth coordination of new hires into field operations.

Qualifications:



Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in

Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

preferred. Minimum

2 years of HR or recruitment experience

, preferably in

home health care, healthcare, or staffing agency settings

. Strong knowledge of

Massachusetts labor laws

, DPH requirements, and healthcare credentialing standards. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HRIS systems, and applicant tracking software. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
