: The HR Coordinator supports daily human resources operations and assists management across
the agency. Responsibilities include coordinating recruitment activities, conducting new employee orientation,
maintaining personnel and credentialing files, ensuring compliance with HR-related laws and regulations, and
supporting employee benefits, workers' compensation, FMLA, KPPA reporting, and other HR processes. The HR
Coordinator prepares monthly HR reports, assists with policy implementation, supports CARF and CCBHC
workforce requirements, coordinates the employee mentor and staffing plans, and provides administrative
support to the Board Personnel Committee. This position has no direct reports.
Role and Responsibilities
Provide resources and support to management staff in the recruitment process, including
guidance on interviewing, screening, and selection of new employees
Coordinate and conduct new employee orientation
Provide consultation and administrative support regarding promotions, salaries, transfers,
disciplinary actions, and terminations, ensuring all legal and best-practice considerations are
applied
Maintain up-to-date and complete personnel, credentialing, and contract files
Assist with compliance in equal employment opportunity, wage and hour, COBRA, FMLA, ADA,
and other regulatory requirements
Prepare and submit the monthly Human Resources report for the Board of Directors
Assist with employee compensation activities--non-exempt, exempt, independent contractors,
performance evaluations, and salary survey data collection
Interpreting and assist in the enforcement of personnel policies across the agency
Ensure compliance with CARF accreditation standards related to Workforce Development
Assist with the creation, updating, and maintenance of the agency succession plan
Coordinate and support the employee mentor program
Serve as administrative support to the Board Personnel Committee
Maintain and update the agency staffing plan
Support employee morale initiatives and the employee activities committee
Ensure National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site compliance and assist with certification
processes
Provide employee support services, including EAP referrals, unemployment hearings
coordination, educational stipends and agreements, drug/alcohol screens, and personnel-related
components of the annual plan and budget
Ensure reporting and compliance with the Kentucky Public Pension Authority
Coordinate benefit plan renewals, enrollments, terminations, and billing processes
Assist with Workers' Compensation compliance and claims coordination Support CMHC and CCBHC-related HR requirements as needed Create and distribute monthly employee newsletter
Serves as back-up to Payroll Specialist for processing of Payroll
Accomplish other HR-related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of five years of human resources experience in an equivalent-size organization Prior management experience helpful, but not required Working knowledge of personnel and labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices Knowledge of employee benefit administration HR Professional Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred Physical Requirements Ability to communicate and exchange information effectively through spoken word, including conveying detailed and important instructions accurately and efficiently
