The Part-Time Human Resources Assistant provides administrative, compliance, and auditing support to the HR department. This role plays a key part in ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting audits, and coordinating new hire orientation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with confidential information in a healthcare or behavioral health setting.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Administration & Support
Assist with day-to-day HR administrative functions as needed
Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files
Update and track employee information in the HRIS (e.g., BambooHR)
Support HR documentation, forms, and recordkeeping
Support employee engagement initiatives and culture-building activities
Assist with internal communications, including newsletters, announcements, and staff updates
Help coordinate employee events, recognition activities, and engagement initiatives
Compliance & Auditing
Assist with internal HR and compliance audits
Review personnel files for completeness and regulatory compliance
Track licensure, certifications, training requirements, and expirations
Prepare documentation for DBHDS, DMAS, CARF, and internal audits
Identify missing or outdated documentation and follow up accordingly
Maintain compliance trackers and reports
New Hire Orientation & Onboarding
Coordinate and support new hire orientation sessions
Ensure completion of onboarding tasks, acknowledgements, and required forms
Prepare orientation materials and packets
Track onboarding progress and follow up on outstanding items
Provide new hires with HR-related guidance and resources
* Perform other HR-related duties as assigned
