Overview:





The Human Resources Assistants provide vital support to the HR department by helping manage daily administrative tasks and ensuring smooth HR operations. They assist with employee records, onboarding, and benefits administration. This role is essential for maintaining organized documentation and delivering positive employee experience.


Key Responsibilities:




Maintain and update employee records, both digital and physical, in compliance with company policies Support new-hire onboarding by preparing documentation and coordinating orientation sessions. Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures. Help process payroll changes, time-off requests, and personnel updates. Prepare HR reports and assist with audits and compliance documentation. Provide general administrative support to the HR team and assist with special projects.

Employee records and data management




Compile and maintain accurate employee records, both physical and digital. Manage data entry and ensure the HR system is up to date. Assist with managing employee attendance, leave, and benefits information. Prepare and submit HR reports.

Payroll and benefits




Assist with payroll processing by tracking time-off and other relevant data. Help administer employee benefits. Address employee questions and resolve payroll errors. Coordinate with third-party vendors for benefits and payroll.



Administrative support and communication




Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and provide timely, accurate information. Manage the HR department's administrative tasks and email inbox. Maintain and update HR policies and procedures. Schedule meetings and manage calendars for the HR team.

Events and projects




Help with various ad hoc HR projects. Assist with exit procedures, such as collecting final paperwork and conducting exit interviews.

Required Skills/Abilities




Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.

Education and Experience




Associate's degree in related field preferred. Prior related office experience preferred.

Physical Requirements




Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. * Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
