The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for performing administrative duties, maintaining employee databases, sorting emails for the HR department, maintaining records of employee attendance and leave, assisting with payroll duties, assisting the HR Manager in policy formulation, hiring, and salary administration, submitting online job postings, shortlisting candidates, scheduling job interviews, coordinating orientation and training sessions for new employees, serving as a point of contact for employees, managing and coordinating schedules for the HR department, and ensuring compliance with employment and labor laws.
HR Assistant Requirements:
Associate's degree in human resources or related field preferred
1 year of experience as an HR assistant is required
Exposure to labor law and employment equity regulations
Effective HR administration and people management skills
Exposure to payroll practices
Full understanding of HR functions and best practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
Strong computer skills necessary
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
Meticulous attention to detail
