Position Summary



The Human Resources Administrator / Office Manager is a key, hands-on role responsible for managing daily HR functions while keeping the office running smoothly. This person serves as the go-to resource for employees, supports leadership with HR compliance and reporting, and ensures administrative operations are organized, efficient, and professional.

This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, approachable, organized, and good at trouble shooting! We are looking for an energetic person to be an integral part of the team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



Human Resources Administration



Administer the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, orientation, offboarding, and recordkeeping Maintain employee personnel files and HR systems with accurate and up-to-date information Assist with recruiting efforts including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and reference checks Coordinate new hire paperwork, benefits enrollment, and employee acknowledgments Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions related to policies, benefits, payroll, and HR procedures Support performance review cycles and employee development tracking Assist with employee relations issues and documentation under management guidance Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Track training, certifications, and required documentation Be up to date on federal and state employment laws

Payroll & Benefits Support



Collect and verify timecards and payroll data for processing Assist with payroll entry, audits, and corrections Administer benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations Act as liaison with benefits providers and payroll vendors Maintain confidential payroll and benefits records

Office Management



Oversee daily office operations and administrative workflows Manage office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships Coordinate maintenance and service needs for the office Handle general inquiries professionally Organize filing systems (digital and physical) and document retention Support leadership with scheduling, reporting, and administrative projects IT Management Train employees on software such as outlook, teams, paychex

Compliance & Safety Support (if applicable)



Assist with OSHA reporting and safety documentation Maintain I-9, E-Verify, and required employment compliance records Track workers' compensation claims and documentation Support audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting

Qualifications



Education & Experience



Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an HR, office management, or administrative role Experience in construction, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferred

Skills & Competencies



Strong working knowledge of HR practices and employment regulations Excellent organizational and time-management skills High attention to detail and accuracy Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Tech-savvy; proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and HR/payroll systems such as Paychex Comfortable working independently and prioritizing multiple tasks Professional, reliable, and service-oriented mindset Bilingual preferred

Physical & Work Environment



Primarily office-based with occasional interaction in shop or jobsite environments Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use office equipment May lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
