Job Summary


Central WV Community Action (CWVCA) is seeking a talented Human Resource Coordinator to join our team. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for all major human resource functions within the agency, working closely with the Executive Director to maintain a professional and compassionate culture that allows us to successfully achieve our mission.

The preferred candidate will have experience thriving in a mission-driven environment and a firm understanding regarding the complexities associated with administering HR functions in a dynamic organization, including basic knowledge regarding federal, state, and local workplace regulations.

In addition, we're looking for an adaptable team member who is willing to foster an environment of continuous learning and teamwork, and who understands the role of supporting people as they grow within their positions.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, well organized, focused, and have experience using a variety of technological platforms and peripheral devices, including Microsoft 365, G-Suite, employee web-based interfaces, scanners, printers, and phone systems.

Responsibilities



Assist in the recruitment process by sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and managing the applicant tracking system. Facilitate employee orientation and onboarding processes to ensure new hires are integrated smoothly into the organization. Utilize a variety of systems, including WV Cares, WV New Hires, and Protective Services Record Check to ensure the agency meets all local, state, and federal requirements. Work closely with accounting specialist and agency managers to ensure accurate timekeeping and payroll processes. Administer employee benefits programs and provide guidance on FMLA, workers' compensation, and other HR-related inquiries. Maintain accurate employee records in the Human Resource Information System and ensure compliance with data entry standards.

Preferred Qualifications



Associate degree or higher in human resources, business administration, or related field. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating initiative to achieve departmental and agency goals. SHRM-CP (or willingness to earn certification).
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
