DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will serve as the labor relations coordinator, responsible for managing and overseeing labor-related matters. You will collaborate with supervisors and managers to address performance, attendance, and interpersonal issues, applying Commonwealth and agency policies, disciplinary history, and contract language to ensure consistent disciplinary recommendations and actions. Your duties will include supervising staff involved in timekeeping operations, reviewing timekeeping procedures with payroll personnel, resolving related issues, and providing training to supervisors on the leave program. Additionally, you will administer the grievance process and prepare responses that accurately present management's position while aligning with past practice, policy, and contract requirements. You will also organize regular labor-management meetings, interpret union contracts, personnel policies, and regulations, and represent management in negotiations to resolve grievances.
