The HR Generalist supports organization-wide onboarding by guiding new hires through the hiring roadmap, collecting and verifying confidential information, and keeping hiring managers informed of progress. This fast-paced role works closely with the HR team on compliance documentation and ensures every employee has a positive New Hire Experience. Strong judgment, organization, and customer service are essential.
Work Location
Hybrid - in-office 2 days a week and on an as-needed basis. Attends Orientation in Olathe, KS.
Salary Range
$18.50 - $20.50 per hour
Education
High school diploma/GED with HR experience required
Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience and Skills
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to manage multiple priorities with confidentiality and attention to detail
Requirements
Must be at least 21 years old
Valid driver's license and auto insurance
Key Responsibilities
Communicate with new hires throughout onboarding and orientation
Collect background checks, licensing documents, and compliance items
Process onboarding and I-9s in ADP
Keep HR leaders and hiring managers updated on progress
Maintain accurate employee records and compliance files
Support audits, DOL reporting, and motor vehicle record checks
Partner with recruiters, trainers, and supervisors to support new employees
Assist with employment verifications, badge creation, and office needs
