Job Summary

This position will report the Chief Human Resources Officer. The Human Resources Generalist will work closely with AMSC's campus internal teams and stakeholders to understand their HR related needs. This position will be responsible for completing tasks and support the daily operations of the Human Resources department to include yet not limited to HRIS operations, recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, and performance management. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to cultivate professional relationships that fully contribute and promote student success.


Responsibilities

The duties include talent acquisition, talent management to oversee the onboarding and offboarding process for faculty, staff, and student employees Support recruiting efforts through campus training and selection/search partnering Maintain the institution's HRIS and other products used to support Employee Services Support the implementation, training and maintenance of HRIS systems Work with Board of Regents (BOR) Well-Being department to serve as AMSC liason for benefits and incentives Work in collaboration with campus partners, faculty, staff and students Coordinate special HR projects as assigned Provide guidance to employees in HR related matters Understand and appropriately apply policies and procedures Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements



Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field

Experience



Two (2) years of related experience (or) a combination or education and experience will be considered (OR) Associate's degree with four (4) years of experience



Preferred Qualifications


----------------------------



Higher education HR certification(s) Four (4) or more years of HR experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Proficiency with technology tools, Microsoft Office, Access, Excel Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, ability to identify solutions Excellent communication skills and experience presenting/ delivering training sessions

Campus Security Authority (CSA) Responsibilities: This position is classified as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) under the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act. As a CSA, the employee will have specific responsibilities to report any Clery Act qualifying crimes that they are made aware of to the institution's designated office. CSA duties include promptly reporting incidents and cooperating with Clery Act compliance efforts, including attending required training.
