The HR Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department and it also responsible for the front desk by greeting guests and answering incoming calls.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Attend the front desk during business hours and greet and direct guests in a polite and timely manner.
Answer and direct incoming calls to appropriate departments.
Accept and review applications of employment and assist with scheduling interviews with hiring supervisors.
Assist the HR Manager with Onboarding new employees, including organizing and preparing paperwork, drug testing and training.
Assist with auditing and filing paperwork.
Assist with organizing and participating in company events.
Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Assist with benefits enrollment.
Assist with the coordination of Light Duty assignments and workers comp claims.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the HR Manager.
Experience, Educational, and Additional Requirements:
MInimum 1-year experience as an HR Assistant, or other similar work preferred.
Must have a general knowledge of state and federal labor laws (i.e., FMLA, ADA, etc.)
Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills required.
Must be comfortable with training and public speaking.
Operational knowledge of Microsoft Office products required.
Ability to multitask, and be detail oriented
Must be able to speak, read, and write both English and Spanish.
Must be able to lift 25lb.
Pass mandatory drug test and background check required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
