Overview


The Housing Manager oversees the day-to-day operations and overall quality of the supportive housing program for adults in recovery from substance use disorders. This role ensures safe, stable, and recovery-oriented living environments by coordinating housing operations, resident services, compliance, and facilities management across multiple sites. The Housing Manager serves as a bridge between clinical, case management, and operations teams to promote long-term recovery and housing stability.

Key Responsibilities



Program Oversight: Manage daily operations of supportive housing sites, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, licensing requirements, and funding regulations. Resident Support: Oversee the intake, orientation, and transition process for residents; collaborate with clinical and case management teams to support individualized recovery and housing plans. Supervision: Provide leadership and direction to housing staff, including Resident Coordinators, House Monitors, or Support Specialists; ensure consistent implementation of program standards. Property & Facilities Management: Coordinate with maintenance and facilities teams to ensure safe, clean, and well-maintained living environments. Monitor repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance schedules. Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate resident records, occupancy data, and incident reports. Ensure adherence to all regulatory, contractual, and quality-assurance standards. Collaboration: Work closely with treatment program leadership, case management, and external housing partners to align housing operations with recovery services and discharge planning. Budget & Resource Management: Assist in managing housing program budgets, monitor expenditures, and support cost-effective use of resources. Crisis Intervention: Respond to resident emergencies, grievances, or behavioral concerns with professionalism, de-escalation, and adherence to program policy. Quality Improvement: Participate in program evaluation and quality-improvement activities; identify opportunities to enhance resident satisfaction and housing outcomes.

Qualifications



Proven experience in property management or a related field, with knowledge of landlord-tenant law and fair housing regulations. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to mediate disputes effectively. Experience in crisis management and intervention techniques, including addiction counseling and motivational interviewing. Familiarity with ORH guidelines and HUD housing programs is preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in supportive housing, substance-use treatment, or residential program management. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, EHR, and housing database systems. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. A background in social work or related fields is highly desirable. Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
