The Housing Department at Region 6 Behavioral Healthcare currently has a position available for a Housing Coordinator. The Housing Coordinator works to address the housing needs of consumers experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. The Coordinator works collaboratively with local agencies and property owners/landlords to ensure that consumers maintain housing stability. This includes inspecting rental properties, conducting voucher issuance interviews, coordinating placement with landlords/providers, verifying consumer information, completing annual reviews in the consumers' homes or within the community, referring consumers to various services, and other tasks as necessary.
The ideal candidate must have a bachelor's degree in human services, social work, education, criminal justice, or a related field. Preference is given to those candidates with at least two years' experience in housing, case management, and rental property operations. In addition, a strong working knowledge of the federal housing choice voucher program and the behavioral health system is preferred.

Prioritize and multitask numerous projects at once, involving tight deadlines
Demonstrate strong organizational skills and be a self-starter
Understand how to work with confidential and sensitive information
Work independently, seeking input from management when necessary
Perform basic math skills
Work with consumers with mental illnesses
Comfortably meet consumers in the home and within the community
Travel locally as needed; a company vehicle is available
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and maintain current auto insurance. The selected applicant will be required to pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screen.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
