The

Housekeeping/ Laundry Aide

provides quality housekeeping services, and a clean, orderly and safe environment for all facility residents and staff.



As defined in job routines or department instructions, the

Housekeeping/ Laundry Aide

cleans assigned areas of the facility, included but not limited to: resident rooms and bathrooms, on a scheduled basis to meet high standards of cleanliness, infection control, safety and hazardous communication program. The

Housekeeping/ Laundry Aide

plans efficient use of time, cooperates with all other staff and performs responsibilities with minimum disruption to the residents and staff. Maintains a clean, orderly work area and department. The

Housekeeping/Laundry Aide

assists in maintaining adequate supplies needed in the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to read labels and follow oral and written instructions in English.

+ Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and to take appropriate action.
+ Ability to visually assess all aspects of facility.
+ Ability to distinguish smells and temperatures and to hear and respond to pages.
+ Ability to walk, reach, bend, lift, grasp, pull, stretch, stoop and have fine hand coordination.
+ Ability to lift and move furniture and heavy items weighing approximately 40 pounds.
