Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of rooms, hallways, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies Maintain high standards of sanitation by disinfecting surfaces, bathrooms, kitchens, and high-touch areas Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to ensure floors are spotless and well-maintained Handle janitorial tasks including trash removal, restocking supplies, and cleaning windows or glass surfaces Assist with custodial responsibilities like moving furniture for cleaning or minor repairs when necessary Support facilities maintenance by reporting any damages or safety hazards promptly Execute industrial cleaning procedures for larger-scale spaces or specialized equipment as required

Skills

Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques and safety protocols Knowledge of floor care methods including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment and supplies as well as residential painting skills for minor touch-ups Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks efficiently in large or complex environments Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout shifts Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report maintenance issues clearly
