Job Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees and coordinates the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms, public areas, and facilities are clean, orderly, and well-maintained. This role is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, training and motivating team members, and ensuring excellent guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the work of housekeeping attendants, laundry staff, and other cleaning personnel. Inspect rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas for cleanliness and adherence to company standards. Assign duties, schedule shifts, and manage daily work assignments. Train new employees on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and company policies. Monitor inventory levels and request or reorder cleaning supplies and equipment as needed. Handle guest requests or complaints promptly and professionally. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and sanitation standards. Assist in the development and implementation of housekeeping procedures and standards. Support deep cleaning projects, special events, and seasonal cleaning schedules. Maintain records of staff performance, inspections, and maintenance issues.

Qualifications & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality or management training preferred. 2-4 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, housekeeping management systems). Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and OSHA safety standards.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Capable of lifting or moving up to [25-50 lbs / 10-25 kg] as required.

Work Environment

Fast-paced environment with a focus on guest satisfaction and operational excellence. May require working in both indoor and outdoor settings, depending on the facility.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
