Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and a proven track record of effective housekeeping management. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring that they are trained and equipped to provide exceptional cleanliness and service to guests.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive cleaning and maintenance plan to ensure that all areas of the hotel are clean and well-maintained.
- Conduct regular inspections of the hotel to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as all relevant industry standards.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as front desk, engineering, and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations.
- Manage inventory and ensure that all necessary cleaning supplies and equipment are readily available.
- Prepare and manage the housekeeping budget, ensuring that all expenses are within budget.
- Implement and maintain a quality control program to ensure high standards of cleanliness and service.
- Monitor and address any issues or concerns from guests or colleagues.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration among housekeeping staff.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in housekeeping management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of industrial cleaning and housekeeping practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with floor care and custodial practices.
- Experience in hospitality and the ability to maintain a high level of customer service.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, as well as perform tasks that require standing, walking, and bending for long periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in hospitality or a related field preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
