Housekeeping Supervisor | Escala

We're looking for a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves leader to join the team at Escala. This position combines daily housekeeping leadership with active participation in cleaning and care of the community's shared spaces. The successful candidate will lead a team, maintain high cleanliness standards, and embody the teamwork-driven, resident-focused culture that makes Escala exceptional. What you'll do:



The Brass Tacks

Lead by example, working side-by-side with the housekeeping team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation. Actively participate in daily cleaning of all common areas, including amenity spaces, lobbies, garages, restrooms, and elevators. Coordinate and assign daily cleaning tasks using Escala's zone-cleaning model, adjusting for priorities and seasonal needs. Maintain and organize janitorial supply inventory, ensuring well-stocked and properly maintained equipment. Create and maintain team schedules to ensure efficient coverage, fairness, and smooth operations. Support team morale and performance with on-the-job coaching and positivity Communicate professionally with team members, management, and residents to foster a warm, community-centered atmosphere. Promote and uphold all cleanliness, safety, and building protocol standards.

The Nitty Gritty

Minimum 3 years housekeeping experience in a similar environment required Prior housekeeping lead/supervisory experience preferred Comfortable leading through action. This is not a clipboard role, it's an on-the-floor, shoulder-to-shoulder leadership position. Ability to read, write, speak and understand Spanish and English. Kind, thoughtful communicator who contributes positively to team morale and Escala's spirit of community. Organized and reliable with a strong sense of ownership over cleanliness and presentation. Comfortable coordinating schedules, prioritizing tasks, and adapting to the day's demands. A detail-driven mindset with pride in maintaining a pristine and polished environment.
