Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff to ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Develop and manage cleaning schedules, assigning tasks based on priorities and staffing levels. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and facilities to verify quality standards are met. Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations. Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment; place orders as needed to maintain operational readiness. Enforce health and safety regulations related to janitorial practices, chemical handling, and equipment use. Address guest requests or complaints promptly with professionalism and a focus on resolution. Promote a positive work environment by motivating staff, providing feedback, and recognizing outstanding performance. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations across the property. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, staff schedules, inspections, and incident reports.

Experience

Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial services with a strong background in janitorial or industrial cleaning. Prior supervisory or management experience in hospitality or facilities management is highly preferred. Familiarity with floor care techniques including carpet cleaning, waxing, polishing, and other floor maintenance procedures. Knowledge of hospitality industry standards for cleanliness, safety regulations, and guest service excellence. Hands-on experience with cleaning equipment and supplies used in commercial or industrial settings. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. Excellent communication skills to lead teams effectively and interact professionally with guests and staff alike.
