A housekeeping room attendant is responsible for cleaning the guest rooms throughout the hotel during and after being occupied by a guest.

Scope of Work:

Clean and supply all daily assigned rooms, to include cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning windows and balconies, and replacing amenities. Daily, vacuum hallway(s) outside assigned rooms. Assist with deep cleaning projects as business need dictates. Report all guest items left in room; report damage in rooms, hallways, or common areas, restock tote at end of shift.

This individual must have the ability to easily and willingly adapt to changes of policy, procedures or work environment.

Job Responsibilities: * Report as scheduled to receive room assignments, typically 14 rooms daily.

  • Clean guest rooms and bathrooms to include changing sheets and linens; scrubbing bathtub, sink, toilet and floor; dust, vacuum, empty trash; clean windows and balconies.
  • Restock guest amenities to include coffee, notepads, and pens.
  • Check refrigerator, closets and drawers for items left behind. Report any missing articles to Front Desk and turn in to Housekeeping manager on a daily basis.
  • Check for missing items in the rooms such as bathmats, irons, hair dryers, etc. and replace as necessary.
  • Report damages, mechanical issues, or anything potentially harmful to guests or staff (such as ice) to Housekeeping or Maintenance manager.
  • Respond to guest requests in a hospitable manner in accordance with our service standards; report any guest issues to Housekeeping manager.
Physical Demands:

This position has heavy physical demands, and involves exerting 25 pounds of force occasionally to move objects including furniture; lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally to carry tray of replacement amenities from room to room or carry laundry bag to the end of the hallway for pickup; bending frequently to clean bathrooms, make beds, and dusting low areas; standing and walking for 80% of each shift, to include climbing stairs.

There will be some exposure to weather as housekeepers move from room to room or between lodges. Uniform smocks provided.

There is regular exposure to cleaning agents; gloves and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided.
