We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, janitorial, or industrial cleaning, along with proven leadership skills in housekeeping management. This role is vital in ensuring our facilities maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction. The Housekeeping Manager will coordinate staff, develop cleaning protocols, and ensure efficient workflow across all areas.
Responsibilities
Supervise and lead housekeeping staff to ensure cleaning standards are consistently met or exceeded
Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures for various areas including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house facilities
Conduct regular inspections to monitor cleanliness, safety, and adherence to company policies
Train new staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and equipment use
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effective procurement and usage
Coordinate with other departments to meet operational needs and special requests
Address guest or staff concerns promptly and professionally to maintain high levels of satisfaction
Enforce health and safety regulations related to janitorial and industrial cleaning practices
Stay updated on industry best practices for floor care, custodial services, and hospitality standards
Qualifications
Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial services, or industrial cleaning roles with a focus on management or supervision
Strong knowledge of floor care techniques and custodial best practices
Previous hotel experience or background in hospitality is highly desirable
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards
Knowledge of safety procedures related to industrial cleaning environments
Ability to train staff on various cleaning methods including housekeeper management strategies
Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and other departments effectively
