Definition of Class

This position provides maintenance and cleanliness of public areas, guest rooms and grounds for The Inn at Ole Miss and other associated buildings. The incumbent provides routine maintenance and cleanliness to provide a safe and welcoming environment for guests.

Examples of Work Performed

  • Provides maintenance and cleanliness of public areas, guest rooms and grounds.
  • Maintains sufficient stock and supplies to perform daily tasks.
  • Stocks closets with clean linen and guest room amenities.
  • Vacuums and mops as needed.
  • Sanitizes hand rails, removes trash, and polishes glass.
  • Performs routine cleaning of elevator walls, doors, and tracks.
  • Cleans carpets, wall scuffs, and replaces burned out bulbs in lobby, hallways, meeting spaced, and guest rooms.
  • Empties and cleans vacuums daily.
  • Complete assigned tasks on guest request log such as resetting ACs, troubleshooting problems with TVs, addressing plumbing issues, reattaching towel bars, etc.
  • Picks up trash, empties garbage containers, and removes trash for disposal.
  • Removes tree limbs from sidewalks and pedestrian areas.
  • Vacuums pool, checks skimmers, and tests water for PH and chlorine balance.
  • Maintains cleanliness of Inn shuttle.
  • Performs related or similar duties as required or assigned.
Essential Functions

These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department. * Provides maintenance and cleanliness of public areas, guest rooms and grounds.
  • Maintains stock and supplies to perform daily tasks.
Minimum Education/Experience

Education:
Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions.

AND

Licensure:
A valid driver\'s license may be required depending on the department.
