Job Summary



As a housekeeping associate, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Your work directly supports the health and well-being of everyone in our nursing home, ensuring compliance with sanitation and infection control standards.



Key Responsibilities

Cleaning and Sanitation:

Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in resident rooms, common areas, restrooms, and offices. Disinfect high-touch surfaces and equipment to prevent the spread of infection. Dispose of trash and hazardous waste in accordance with facility policies and safety regulations.

Compliance and Safety:

Follow established infection control and safety procedures. Report maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.

Resident Interaction:

Respond courteously to resident and staff requests for housekeeping services. Respect residents' privacy and personal belongings while performing duties.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a clean and comfortable living environment. Assist with special cleaning projects or emergency cleaning needs as required.

Qualifications

Skills and attributes:

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Good time management and organizational skills. Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
