Summary: The Housekeeping Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the Housekeeping Manager in the management and operation of the housekeeping and laundry departments to ensure orderly and attractive conditions in the hotel. The Housekeeping Assistant Manager is expected to fill the role of the Manager when said Manager is not available. The Housekeeping Assistant Manager is responsible for supervising and organizing the team of housekeepers and laundry attendants. Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assists the Housekeeping Manager in the management, operations, and training of the housekeeping and laundry departments.
  • Maintains and organizes inventory, ordering supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Assists in creating the staff work schedule, taking projected hotel occupancy into consideration.
  • Maintains guest room status reports and communicates them to the appropriate team members.
  • Ensures that 1Risk Checklists are completed by staff members and recorded by management.
  • Inspects premises, guest rooms, linen rooms, and public areas to ensure that the property\'s superior standards of housekeeping are maintained.
  • Creates a service-oriented environment that focuses on guest satisfaction.
  • Communicates all maintenance and repair needs to the appropriate team members.
  • Performs room attendant duties, when required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.
Job Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of hotel housekeeping experience.
  • Experience with purchasing and inventory management.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Great collaboration and teamwork skills.

Position Type and Expected Work Hours
  • Full-time, year-round
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
