Position Summary

The Bishop Hotel is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented housekeeper to join our small, dedicated hospitality team. This role plays a key part in maintaining the hotel's high standards of cleanliness and guest care, ensuring each visitor enjoys the comfort and charm that make The Bishop special.

Responsibilities

Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards, including making beds, sanitizing bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and restocking amenities Maintain cleanliness of all common areas, hallways, stairwells, and shared spaces across all three floors Assist with daily laundry operations: washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens Handle and care for the hotel's historic interior elements and furnishings with respect and caution Report maintenance concerns or safety issues promptly Interact with guests and team members in a friendly, professional manner Follow all safety, sanitation, and housekeeping protocols

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of housekeeping experience preferred, especially in hotels or historic properties Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and independently Ability to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs Reliable, punctual, and committed to a high standard of cleanliness Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed Appreciation for historic spaces and careful handling of vintage furnishings
