Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces. Maintain pristine floors through proper floor care techniques such as sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and buffing to ensure safety and aesthetic appeal. Restock amenities such as toiletries, linens, towels, and supplies to meet guest needs efficiently. Follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols to ensure a hygienic environment while preventing accidents. Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to ensure timely repairs and uphold quality standards. Manage laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and towels for optimal efficiency. Collaborate with team members to coordinate cleaning schedules and prioritize tasks for maximum productivity. Uphold all health and safety regulations related to janitorial work and industrial cleaning practices. Assist in training new housekeeping staff or interns when necessary to promote team cohesion and consistency in service quality.

Requirements

Proven experience in cleaning or custodial roles; hotel experience or hospitality background is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, sanitation standards, and industrial cleaning methods. Demonstrated ability to operate janitorial equipment such as vacuums, buffers, carpet cleaners, and floor scrubbers safely and effectively. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards across diverse environments. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in fast-paced settings. Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout shifts. Familiarity with housekeeping management systems or inventory control is a plus but not required.
