Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards. Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and recreational spaces to ensure a welcoming environment. Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, polishing, and carpet cleaning to preserve the appearance and safety of all surfaces. Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, towels, and amenities to meet guest needs efficiently. Follow established protocols for waste disposal and sanitation to promote health and safety standards. Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to ensure timely repairs and uphold quality standards. Adhere to safety procedures and use cleaning equipment responsibly to prevent accidents or injuries. Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans as scheduled or requested by management. Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities and supply inventories for accountability and operational efficiency.

Experience

Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is highly preferred; familiarity with hospitality environments enhances your ability to excel in this position. Demonstrated skills in cleaning techniques, floor care, and janitorial practices are essential for maintaining high standards of hygiene. Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and methods is advantageous for handling larger-scale or specialized cleaning tasks. Knowledge of hospitality industry expectations ensures consistent delivery of excellent guest service. Previous housekeeper management experience is a plus for those interested in supervisory roles within the housekeeping department.
