Position Summary

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment across assigned areas. This position performs a variety of custodial duties--including cleaning, sanitizing, and light maintenance--to ensure that facilities remain sanitary and welcoming. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team to support a healthy and efficient workplace.

Key Responsibilities

Follow established cleaning procedures and schedules to maintain assigned areas Perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including high dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and floor care Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively in accordance with company and OSHA standards Maintain a clean and organized storage area for supplies and equipment Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to support daily operations Adhere to safety standards and company policies to ensure a secure work environment Perform additional custodial tasks and related duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred (medical or facility setting experience a plus) Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods Ability to operate cleaning and maintenance equipment Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team Physical ability to perform strenuous tasks and maintain productivity during shift hours

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions Exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying environmental conditions (e.g., heat, cold, humidity) Must be able to use cleaning tools and equipment safely and effectively

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 4:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. (2nd shift). Some weekends may be required based on operational needs.
