Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, common areas, and private spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold high standards of cleanliness. Maintain floor care by sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing various flooring types to preserve their appearance and safety. Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, towels, and cleaning products to ensure readiness for guest needs. Follow established protocols for janitorial tasks, including waste disposal, window cleaning, and deep cleaning procedures for industrial or high-traffic areas. Adhere to hospitality standards by providing friendly service and responding promptly to guest requests or concerns related to cleanliness or comfort. Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas to identify maintenance issues or cleanliness deficiencies and report them promptly for resolution. Maintain a safe work environment by following health and safety guidelines related to custodial practices and industrial cleaning procedures.

Skills

Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial roles within hospitality or industrial settings. Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing. Previous hotel or hospitality experience is highly desirable for understanding guest service expectations. Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies to handle large-scale or specialized cleaning tasks efficiently. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform thorough inspections and identify areas needing attention. Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and respond courteously to guest inquiries.
