Position Overview:

The Primary purpose of the Housekeeper is to keep residents' rooms and living areas, as well as all building restrooms and common areas neat, tidy, clean, and sanitary at all times.

About the Role:

We are seeking a full-time Housekeeper to join our team at Wyatt House Retirement Center. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents. Your attention to detail and ability to work independently will be crucial in ensuring that our facility is always in top condition. You will report to the Housekeeping Supervisor and work closely with other members of the team to provide exceptional service to our residents.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a healthcare or senior living environment Knowledge of infection control procedures Bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize resident rooms, common areas, and other designated areas according to established procedures Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and report any maintenance issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor Follow all safety and infection control policies and procedures Assist with laundry services as needed Provide exceptional customer service to residents and staff

Skills:

As a Housekeeper, you will use your attention to detail and time management skills to ensure that our facility is always clean and safe for our residents. You will also use your communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service to residents and staff. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be crucial in maintaining a positive and productive work environment. Additionally, your knowledge of infection control procedures and experience in a healthcare or senior living environment will be beneficial in this role.
