The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment throughout the center. This position supports daily operations by ensuring classrooms and common areas meet health, safety, and licensing standards. The Housekeeper reports directly to the Operations Manager and works collaboratively with administration as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Wash teachers' smocks and ensure they are clean and available for pick-up
Prepare cleaning bottles and deliver them to classrooms as scheduled
Deliver water pitchers to classrooms
Vacuum the lobby and front office and clean the front restroom at the start of each day
Clean and mop all non-classroom restrooms at 6:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and 2:00 p.m.
Wash, dry, fold, and distribute laundry
Ensure classrooms are stocked with necessary supplies, including trash bags, washcloths, paper towels, hand soap, gloves, bleach water, and tissues
Wipe cabinets and tables and mop the teachers' workroom at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Empty trash from the Big Room and front office at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Vacuum the lobby and front office as needed throughout the day
Set up tables in the Big Room as required
Clean tables and benches in the Big Room daily at 9:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 2:45 p.m.
Wash snack dishes
Dust the entire center on a weekly basis
Provide a list of needed cleaning supplies to the Cook
Assist with setup for parent events and Board meetings
Assist with bus runs as needed, including helping ensure children are safely loaded and unloaded in accordance with center procedures
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required
Position requires availability from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

Education Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and/or assist children weighing up to 70 pounds, as required during bus runs or emergency situations.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to bend, walk, and move throughout the facility as required by job duties

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
