Job Summary:




Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing personnel in patient care units, participates in planning work of assigned units and coordinates activities with other patient care units and related departments Provides oversight for multiple hospital departments in the absence of unit management Supervises nurses and staff and takes administrative responsibilities Ensure patient's needs are met and evaluates unit nursing care and performance Leads and directs the work of others Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department



Qualifications:




Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing, certification as a registered nurse (RN) Must have a license to practice professional nursing in the state of Kentucky 5+ years of experience in the field - supervisory experience preferred Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures Current BCLS and ACLS upon hire Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with patient, guest, physicians, and other employees
