Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas within the hotel. This role is essential in providing a welcoming environment for our guests and ensuring their comfort during their stay. Must be available weekends.

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms. Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, and restrooms. Replace linens and towels as needed, ensuring all items are fresh and well-presented. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly. Follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Assist with inventory management of cleaning supplies and report shortages to management. Collaborate with other housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations and high standards of cleanliness.

Skills

Proven experience in cleaning, with a strong attention to detail. Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment. Previous hotel experience is preferred but not required; hospitality experience is a plus. Knowledge of janitorial practices and industrial cleaning methods is beneficial. Custodial experience will be considered an asset. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor to enhance guest interactions. Experience in housekeeping management is a plus for those looking for advancement opportunities within the role.
