We are seeking an experienced and dynamic
Director of Rooms
to oversee all aspects of guest accommodations and related services within our hospitality property. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hotel management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role involves supervising the front desk, guest services, housekeeping, and revenue management to ensure operational excellence and guest satisfaction. Multilingual abilities and hospitality management expertise are highly valued to effectively communicate with diverse guests and staff.
Qualifications:
Director of Front Office, minimum 5 years. Hotel operations experience, minimum 10 years
Duties include however, not limited to:
Lead and supervise the Rooms Division, including front desk operations, housekeeping, and guest services teams.
Oversee daily hotel operations to ensure high standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Ensure effective human resources management through staff training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and fostering a positive work environment.
Handle guest relations by resolving complaints promptly and ensuring memorable experiences for all guests.
Coordinate with other departments such as food & beverage, maintenance, and sales to deliver seamless service.
Oversee night audit procedures and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Maintain compliance with hotel policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
Utilize multi-line phone systems with proper phone etiquette to assist guests efficiently.
Implement best practices in hospitality management to enhance overall guest experience and operational performance.
Long hours are sometimes required.
Remote monitoring of operations while away from the property
Any other duties as assigned by the General Manager
Requirements
Proven supervisory experience within the hospitality industry, preferably in hotel management or resort settings.
Extensive knowledge of hotel operations including front desk management, guest services, human resources, and revenue management.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and resource allocation within a hospitality context.
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for effective communication with diverse guests and staff.
Familiarity with night audit procedures and multi-line phone systems is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
Attend and contribute to periodic meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among employees and promote maximum morale, productivity, and efficiency.
Attend all hotel required meetings and training.
Hospitality management certification or relevant degree is advantageous but not mandatory. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated hospitality professional to lead the Rooms Division at a premier property while delivering exceptional service standards that exceed guest expectations.
Other: Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Team Members with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, Team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
