Hotel Staff Accounting

Job Summary: As a Hotel Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our hotels. You will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making. This role requires strong attention to detail, financial expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with various hotel departments.

Hotel Accounting Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements on a regular basis. Budget Management: Assist in the development and monitoring of the hotel's annual budget, ensuring that expenses are controlled, and revenue goals are tracked accurately. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice verification, payment processing, and collection efforts as needed. Bank Reconciliation: Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and identify discrepancies. Financial Analysis: Provide insightful financial analysis, variance analysis, and key performance indicators to support strategic decision-making. Internal Controls: Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard hotel assets and minimize financial risks.
Hotel Accounting Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience as an accountant in the hotel or hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in accounting software (Quickbooks, Inflow, Otelier, or M3) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
