Job Summary


We are seeking a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, along with the ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Sous Chef will assist in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety, while contributing to menu planning and execution.

Responsibilities



Assist in overseeing kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow. Manage inventory control and food handling practices to maintain quality and minimize waste. Plan and execute menu items from a variety of cuisine types. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety, and equipment usage. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative dishes that align with restaurant standards. Monitor food production processes to guarantee consistency in taste and presentation. Handle shift management responsibilities, ensuring all stations are adequately staffed during service hours.

Experience



Proven experience in a culinary role within the food industry, preferably as a Sous Chef or similar position. Strong background in fine dining, catering, or banquet services is highly desirable. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management and supervising kitchen staff. Knowledge of menu planning, inventory management, and food service management practices. Familiarity with dietary department operations is a plus. Excellent cooking skills with an understanding of various cuisines and cooking techniques. Experience in restaurant management or hospitality is beneficial. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Pay: $42,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
