Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and efficient seating arrangements. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Duties

Greet guests as they arrive and provide them with a warm welcome. Manage the seating chart and ensure that tables are efficiently filled while maintaining guest comfort. Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and inquiries, and using Toast POS to manage delivery and takeout orders. Utilize the Resy system to manage reservations, waitlists, and table assignments effectively. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area. Communicate effectively with floor staff, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service flow. Provide assistance to guests as needed, addressing any questions or concerns promptly. Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall guest experience.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is required. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Resy and Toast POS, is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Experience in guest services or hotel settings is beneficial. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
