We pride ourselves on creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests, and we are seeking an experienced and dynamic host(ess) to guide our team and elevate our customer service standards.

Position Overview:

As the host(ess), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth and efficient dining experience for our guests. You will control the podium and seating rotation, and interact directly with guests to maintain high levels of service. Your leadership will contribute to creating an environment where both guests and staff feel valued and respected.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

Fostering a positive work environment and ensuring every team member is equipped to deliver exceptional service.

Podium Management:

Control the seating arrangement and monitor rotation to ensure optimal guest flow without over-seating or under-seating servers. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host station.

Customer Service:

Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression. Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns promptly and effectively, including de-escalating situations with unhappy customers.

Reservations Management:

Handle phone calls for reservations and call-ahead seating, ensuring accurate tracking and organization, especially for larger parties.

Wait Time Coordination:

Keep guests informed of wait times and manage expectations to enhance their overall experience.

Event Planning:

Assist with planning large parties and reservations, coordinating with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure seamless service. Accommodate special requests when possible.

Time Management:

Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure during high-volume service periods.

Communication Skills:

Communicate clearly and compassionately with guests, staff, and management to foster teamwork and exceptional service delivery. Provide information about the menu and restaurant offerings to guests.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a hostess role, ideally in a high-volume restaurant. Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests and resolve conflicts calmly. Excellent phone etiquette Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Proficient in reservation and call-ahead operations and protocols, including knowledge of menu items and dining protocols.
