Overview

We are seeking a friendly and welcoming Host/Host to join our team! As a vital part of our front-of-house staff, you will play a key role in ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Your warm hospitality, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills will make all the difference.

Duties

- Greet guests upon arrival and bid them farewell when leaving, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout their visit.

- Manage reservations, take-out orders, and handle seating assignments with ease.

- Utilize the POS system to process reservations accordingly.

- Provide exceptional guest services, including answering phone calls and addressing any questions or concerns.

- Offer help and guidance to guests, ensuring they are satisfied with their dining experience.

- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple tasks at once.

- Support the kitchen team by providing timely updates on guest orders and ensuring that food is served promptly and correctly.

Experience

- Prior experience in a food service or hospitality environment is highly preferred.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential for success in this role.

- Basic knowledge of POS systems.

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing situations is a must.

- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds is required.

Skills

- Strong guest services and customer service skills.

- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.

- Proficiency in using restaurant management software.

- Ability to help and assist guests in a friendly and efficient manner.

- Familiarity with food service and hospitality standards.

- Experience with POS systems is a plus.

- Hospitality experience is a strong asset.

- Ability to help and support other team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $19.75 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
