Everything from the professional service, phenomenal spirits to choose from or the thirst quenching, hand-crafted cocktails to the outstanding culinary expressions from our Executive Chef Mario Beitong. We love what we do! With that said, we have a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic professional individual to join our restaurant team as a Host! We here at the Blind Ox are presently looking to hire for a Host position. We are looking for an organized, stylish individual, who is outgoing and reliable. The ideal candidate is articulate, with exceptional communication skills and can multitask under pressure. We are seeking a person with fine dining experience & knowledge of OPEN TABLE software, preferably. Responsibilities:
-First and foremost--- Creating an unforgettable dining experience for our guests
-Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival and departure
-Assess guests needs while always maintaining a professional and courteous attitude
-Seat guests at tables and provide menus
-Guide guests to waiting areas when needed
-Manage a reservation book that consists of both reservations and walk-in traffic
-Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries
-Ensure that dining details are handled properly and customers\' concerns are addressed Education, Experience and Required Skills:
-1 year of fine dining experience
-Polished communication skills both in person and on the phone
-Proficiency in using reservation systems, OpenTable preferred
