Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and exceptional guest experience from the moment they arrive. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to manage reservations efficiently. Will be responsible for take out orders in person, on the phone and through a third party app (tips earned).

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables. Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize restaurant flow. Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times to guests effectively. Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions. Assist with guest inquiries and ensure their needs are met throughout their visit. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations. Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed. Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization at the host stand and dining area.

Requirements

Previous experience in guest services or food service is preferred, but not required. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence. Familiarity with Shift4 POS or similar restaurant management systems is a plus. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and a passion for hospitality are essential for success in this role. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
