Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently deliver food from the kitchen to tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met. Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate timely food service and communicate any special requests or modifications. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of service stations and dining areas to uphold high standards of hygiene and safety. Support servers by refilling beverages, delivering additional items, or assisting with guest requests to enhance overall guest experience. Monitor table status and communicate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow. Handle guest inquiries courteously, demonstrating excellent communication skills and positive guest relations. Follow proper phone etiquette when taking reservations or answering guest questions over the phone. Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and restaurant policies to provide accurate information to guests. Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry when necessary, ensuring accuracy in billing and order processing. Uphold hospitality standards by providing friendly, attentive service that makes guests feel valued and welcomed.

Experience

Previous host/host experience or food service background is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is key! Experience working in a restaurant environment helps you understand the flow of service and guest expectations. Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with team members and engaging with guests effectively. Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus but training will be provided. Experience in hotel or guest services can be advantageous, especially in delivering exceptional guest relations. Knowledge of serving techniques, phone etiquette, and hospitality best practices will help you excel in this energetic role.
