Job Overview:

As a Host/Server Assistant at Shorefyre, you will play a key role in ensuring our restaurant runs smoothly and that our guests have an exceptional experience from start to finish. You'll assist with managing guest seating, supporting servers, and maintaining a welcoming and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Reception:

Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations, and handle walk-ins efficiently. Ensure a smooth and pleasant seating process for all guests.

Table Management:

Monitor and manage the flow of guests to tables, including coordinating with the host team to optimize seating arrangements and minimize wait times.

Support Servers:

Assist servers with tasks such as delivering food and drinks, refilling water glasses, and clearing used dishes. Help ensure that all tables are maintained and serviced promptly.

Communication:

Act as a liaison between the front of house and kitchen staff, ensuring that special requests or dietary needs are communicated effectively.

Cleanliness and Organization:

Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host stand, dining area, and service stations. Assist with setting up and breaking down tables as needed.

Guest Interaction:

Address guest inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Administrative Tasks:

Assist with light administrative tasks related to reservations and guest management as required.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is preferred, but we are happy to train enthusiastic individuals with a positive attitude.

Customer Service:

Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to provide excellent service. Ability to remain calm and composed in a busy environment.

Organizational Skills:

Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.

Team Player:

Ability to work well as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operations.

Flexibility:

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as our peak times are often during these periods.
