Overview

We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm welcome and ensuring a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to manage reservations, phone calls, and seating efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Duties

- Greet guests as they arrive and provide them with a warm welcome.
- Assist guests with inquiries about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Maintain an organized waiting list and communicate wait times effectively to guests.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
- Uphold cleanliness standards in the host area and ensure that menus are clean and presentable.

Skills

- Strong customer service skills with a passion for helping others.
- Familiarity with Clover or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and guest inquiries.
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is a plus, particularly in restaurants or hotels.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both guests and team members to enhance the dining experience.
- A positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
