Il Venetian, an award-winning fine dining restaurant in Cleveland is seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued as soon as they enter the establishment. The host's primary responsibilities will include managing reservations, greeting guests, and facilitating smooth communication between the front of house and kitchen staff. A passion for customer service and hospitality is essential in creating a positive dining experience.

Host Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables. Manage reservations efficiently using Open Table Maintain an organized waiting list during peak hours to ensure timely seating. Communicate effectively with waitstaff and kitchen personnel to coordinate guest needs. Provide excellent customer service by addressing any guest concerns promptly and professionally. Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in the host/host area. Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when handling reservations or guest inquiries over the phone.

Host Qualifications

Previous experience in a host/hostess or customer service role within a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members. Familiarity with Open Table, is a plus but not required; training will be provided. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure. A genuine desire to help others and enhance guest relations through exceptional service.
