HOSPITALITY AIDE (M-F 8a-5p)
As a Hospitality Aide, you will have the unique opportunity to positively impact our residents every day. You will partner with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare staff, and under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN), positively represent the facility, providing routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care.
Responsibilities:
Their position will consist of handing out trays to residents, collecting trays, documenting intake of residents, vacuuming and tidying main areas, handing out snacks and water. Answer call lights for all things beside care.
+ May provide general support to the department, including greeting and assisting patients, visitors, physicians and ancillary personnel.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
1 year of experience as a Hospitality Aide, experience in a long-term care facility preferred
Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift and transfer residents (up to 100 pounds unassisted), bend, twist, push and pull
Knowledge of medical terminology, skill in administering nursing techniques
Exceptional organization skills, ability to prepare and maintain accurate resident charts, reports and observations
Effective communication skills and interpersonal relations
Good problem solving and independent thinking skills
Knowledge of basic hygiene and sanitation
