Hospice Volunteer - Cuyahoga County and surrounding areas!

Volunteer activities available...


Sitting with patients to provide companionship, play games, and offer a friendly, comforting presence. Sending encouraging letters and cards. Assisting in light household chores. Calling patients and their families to check on needs. Assisting with administrative duties at our Beachwood office. Making blankets, quilts, pillows and crafts for our patients. Providing support to our bereaved families by assisting with mailings, phone calls and in-home grief support visits.

Qualifications:

Availability of time and skills which pertain to the volunteer activity Maintain confidentiality Ability to work independently and take directions well. Empathetic listening skills Ability to understand and tolerate hardship stories.
