What You'll Be Doing:

Perform overnight kitchen exhaust hood cleanings at restaurants and commercial kitchens.

Use specialized cleaning tools and equipment (training provided).

Climb ladders and access rooftops to clean fan systems and ductwork.

Drive company vehicles (a clean driving record is required).

Upload photos and documentation via mobile app for compliance reports.

Provide friendly and professional communication to customers and coworkers.

Maintain safety, cleanliness, and quality standards at every job.

What We Require:

Must be available for night shift work, Sunday through Thursday.

Comfortable with physical labor, ladders, and heights.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR will be reviewed).

Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Excellent communication skills, a team-first attitude, and the ability to stay calm and positive under pressure.

Career Growth Pathway:

Level 0: Assistant Technician

Starting Pay: $18/hr

Duration: Typically 6 to 12 weeks

You'll shadow experienced technicians, assist on service jobs, and build foundational knowledge. This is where we evaluate reliability, attitude, and basic mechanical ability.

Level 1: Apprentice Technician

Pay: $19/hr

Duration: Approximately 10 months

Begin formal training to lead jobs. Learn to wrap hoods, complete digital paperwork, understand service protocols, and perform basic repairs.

Level 2: Technician I (Lead Technician)

Pay: $700/week base + 10% commission

Duration: Typically reached within your first year as an apprentice

Lead jobs independently, operate a company van, oversee assistant techs, and start being evaluated for future leadership. All work is closely monitored to ensure quality and integrity.

Level 3: Technician II

Pay: $850/week base + 10% commission

Duration: Usually achieved within 10 months as a Lead Technician

Train apprentice technicians, handle higher-value jobs, and represent Hoods Unlimited with professionalism. You'll take ownership of your assistant's development and consistently uphold our quality standards.

Level 4: Senior Technician

Pay: $1,000/week base + 10% commission

Duration: After 10 months as a Technician II, if leadership criteria are met

Serve as a company leader in the field. Conduct pop-up inspections, train others, lead orientations, attend management meetings, and help resolve complex job issues.

At this stage, top performers can earn $80,000 or more per year.

Level 5: Supervisor Technician / Management Track

Pay: Determined by role

Eligible to move into management, open new branches, or transition into operations, sales, or general management depending on performance and company needs.
