Health Program Coordinator

to lead and inspire a team dedicated to monitor and support home visiting programs across the state.

The Agency:

The Home Visiting Program supports and strengthens a system of evidence-based home visiting that empowers and creates positive change in the lives of families in Utah and improves outcomes for families.

Responsibilities

Conducts or participates in day-to-day development and monitoring of contracts, subrecipient agreements, and grants, in support of the larger program functions Plans, develops and coordinates one or more large, complex projects Supervising subordinate personnel including: hiring, determining workload and delegating assignments, training, monitoring and evaluating performance, and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions Writing or drafting correspondence, reports, documents and/or other written materials Analyzing, summarizing and/or reviewing data; reporting findings, interpreting results and/or making recommendations Gathering data, preparing reports or summarizing information Enforcing laws, rules, and regulations Interpreting, clarifying, explaining and applying agency policy and procedures, business practices, federal or state laws and regulations, etc. Collaborates with other state and local programs, organizations and agencies, and with various stakeholders to promote program goals and objectives Delivering presentations, stand up training, or instruction to staff, management, clients, or the general public

Qualifications

Required:



Experience dealing with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism. Experience communicating complex information effectively in writing and verbally. Experience ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations and policies. Ability to monitor performance of a team, as well as individual local implementation sites. Ability to write and create professional training, presentations, and policies Experience in data analysis and development of reports through Microsoft Excel or similar programs Experience implementing federal grants, including ensuring compliance with grant requirements

Preferred:

Experience with one of the following evidence-based home visiting models: Parents as Teachers, Nurse-Family Partnership, or Family Spirit Experience working directly with early childhood populations in an education or health setting A bachelor's degree or higher in Public Health, Public Administration and Policy, Health Policy, Health Promotion/Education, Health Science or Community Leadership or related experience

Occasional in state, out of state, overnight and weekend travel may be required. Serving as a Home Visiting Program Coordinator involves supporting local implementation sites and is not a position providing direct service in clients homes. This position is currently a hybrid of both in-office and remote work days. Please note, a position's eligibility for remote work is established by agency management and is subject to change at their discretion at any time and for any reason. If offered this position, your continued employment will be contingent upon passing a background check and review. This check will include fingerprinting at various UDOH locations for your convenience. There will be no cost to you and fingerprinting will be completed on the first day of employment or shortly thereafter. Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc. * Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
